Bajtar Collection

‘Bajtar tax xewk’ – prickly pear, is a cacti plant wildly found across the Maltese Islands and the Mediterranean. This beautiful cactus that bears jewel toned fruit when in bloom, has been a point of inspiration for many of our prints and colour blocking mood-boards throughout the years. It’s taken us about 12 months of sampling and sketching to reproduce one of our favourite prints into a hand painted range of ceramics. In collaboration with Carla’s family’s ceramic factory based on the island of Malta, The Bajtar collection features plates, cups and larger serving dishes designed on a terracotta base and hand painted in vibrant green hued glazes and bold fruit tones.

This collection has been designed with the spirit of island family lunches in mind; sharing plates of fresh local produce over great conversation and under the mediterranean sun. We hope that you enjoy these pieces as much as we have enjoyed designing them.
